Report

Busting the myth that technology is more suitable for boys, MARIN invited girls from a local primary school to visit the institute during National Girls’ Day. Twenty-five children met some of the super smart women working in our team and for sure went away inspired by their achievements!

Girls’ Day

On 11 May, MARIN was honoured when the Dutch State Secretary for Defence Christophe van der Maat and PCDS Vice Admiral Boudewijn Boots visited MARIN’s facilities, including the pioneering Seven Oceans Simulator centre (SOSc), which is under construction. They were especially impressed by the enthusiasm of MARIN’s team. Employees, suppliers and the construction contractor’s staff also had the opportunity to visit the SOSc as it takes shape and reaches a major milestone in the construction process. Everyone agreed they were inspired by the new centre and its wide-reaching capabilities. This was a proud moment for everyone involved and we are very much looking forward to the opening of this unique centre in Spring 2024
